MORGAN WITKIN

Vegan Chef Extraordinaire

A painstakingly difficult postpartum period led Morgan to embark on a personal journey to heal herself in any way that would resonate. The underlying thread that arose was that health, both mental and physical, begins with what we put into our bodies. After a series of personal experiments based on the eager desire to discover the ideal formula that would maintain a holistic picture of health, Morgan took her passion from the personal level to professional, seeking certifications from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Cornell University’s Plant-Based Nutrition program. Somewhat unexpectedly, this led to the birth of Morganic Kitchen: Morgan’s food blog.

At Morganic Kitchen, the recipes are 100% plant based, vegan, gluten free and refined sugar free. Yet there is no deprivation in this; flavor and variation are not sacrificed. Morganic Kitchen is full of food that nourishes from the inside out, rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents.

Once the necessity of creating in the kitchen caught up with her passion for the nutrition behind her food, Morgan once again decided to embark on a new journey and began studying to gain her professional chef certification through a renowned vegan culinary academy located in Mallorca. Since completing her formal chef training, Morgan has collaborated with internationally recognized chefs at luxury properties throughout Italy. No stranger to the kitchens of highly acclaimed restaurants, she has shared space and knowledge with Michelin starred chefs, preparing her for various partnerships throughout the globe.

Such collaborations include menu consulting for brands, luxury hotels, restaurants and event catering. In addition to these opportunities and her active presence on her website, Morgan hosts different classes, workshops and demonstrations, and is available for personal dietetic consultation based on individual client needs. All of the above align with the capabilities and services offered by Paper & Diamond.

Through it all, Morgan recognizes that food, however, is not just about what you put on your plate. She promotes the concept of ‘Primary Food,’ or that which nourishes the soul as opposed to our bellies. This encompasses relationships, spirituality, physical exercise, career, and other areas that require attention in order to feel truly nourished, healthy and full. “When we are attentive to what we are feeding our bodies and what we are feeding our souls in conjunction, our happiest and most wholesome selves emerge.”
